In fact much of Kerala's uniqueness lies in its backwaters - found nowhere else in the world. Visit to the backwater destinations of Kumarakom, Kollam and Kozhikode can be a rewarding experience. The lagoons at these destinations with their spectacular view and fringed by coconut trees capturing the fascination of travelers from all over the world.

Hill Stations:
Kerala has a long chain of lush, mist-clad Hill stations that are home to exotic wildlife of the region. The hill stations of Kerala offers an enchanting experience of nature in all its virgin beauty. The major hill stations of Kerala are Munnar, Ponmudi, Peerumade, Neliyampathy, Peruvannamuzhi, Tusharagiri, Wayanad, Pythal Mala, Ezhimala, Ranipuram, Devikulam, Wagamon etc.

Beaches:
Kerala has a long stretch of pristine beaches for those interested in sun & sand. It gives the wonderer a chance to enjoy the stark stretches in relative peace. Kovalam to the south of capital Thiruvananthapuram, Varkala, Cherai, and Alleppey are some of the best beaches on the Southern part of the state. Beaches to the North are beautiful and unspoiled.

Wild Life :
Elephant stands as the symbol of Kerala, signifying deep links that forests have on the lives of the people. The forest have been closely associated with the customs, traditions, and social life of Kerala for centuries. A number of Wildlife Sanctuaries and National Parks have been created to protect the forests and variety of animals therein. Periyar Tiger Reserve, Silent Valley National Park, Eravikulam National Park … are some among the best managed sanctuaries in the country.

Ayurveda :
Kerala's climate, natural abundance of forests with a wealth of herbs and medicinal plants and the cool monsoon season are best suited for practice of Ayurveda. It attracts tourist from all over the world, who come here for traditional Ayurvedic therapies.

Shopping :
Kerala is a shopper's delight. It is famous for its ivory carvings, pottery, gold and silver brocaded fabrics and ceramic products.

Night Life:
Nightlife at Kerala is vibrant and gives the visitors a chance to familiarize themselves with the culture of the state. One can experience the colourful, rhythmical Kathakali (the ancient dance form of Kerala) at a traditional Kathakali venues.
