Delhi, the capital and third largest city of India is an

The massive red sandstone walls of the Red Fort rises above 33-m
above the clamour of the Old Delhi. It stands tall as a as a reminder of the
magnificent power and pomp of the Mughal emperors. The main gate, of the Red
Fort is the focal point of the modern Indian nation and attracts a huge
crowd each Independence Day.
Jama Masjid:
Located at Old Delhi, Jama Masjid is the largest mosque in India with
courtyard capability of holding 2,500 devotees. This architectural
extravaganza was built by Shahjahan in 1656 A.D. The beautifully ornamented
mosque has three great gates, four towers and two 40 m-high minarets
constructed of strips of red sandstone and white marble.

The soaring 73 meter high tower of victory was built in 1193 by
Qutab-ud-din Aibak immediately after the defeat of Delhi's last Hindu
kingdom. It comprises of five storeys, each marked by a projecting balcony.
The first three storeys are constructed from red sandstone; the fourth and
fifth storeys are made of marble and sandstone.
Parliament House:
The seat of Indian parliament is the marvelous piece of architecture
constructed under the supervision of Sir Herbert Baker. It houses
ministerial offices, numerous committee rooms and an excellent library as
well. Conceived in in the Imperial British Style, the Parliament House
consists of an open verandah with 144 columns.
Delhi offers a multitude of interesting places and attractions for the
